The 18th Annual Moab Folk Festival
November 6 & 7, 2020
Dear Festival Family,
Music is healing. Gathering as a spontaneous community is essential to who we are as humans. However, this is an unparalleled moment in history. Time passing and the continued spread of the pandemic has made deciding to postpone the 18th rendition of the Moab Folk Festival somehow easier as we gain clarity on what is most crucial right now: our responsibility as citizens of the same planet to keep each other safe and well. Although we have made the heartbreaking decision to postpone our in-person event this November, we are planning a virtual celebration so that we can be together in a different yet important way. Please keep November 6th & 7th on your calendar and stay tuned for exciting lineup announcements. This decision is not financially easy. The margin for our event has always been slim. As a small non-profit organization, we are fighting to stay as relevant and as necessary as the arts themselves are to our lives. Now, more than ever we need your support. We realize that no one is untouched by the effects of Covid-19, but if you are able, please consider a donation to Friends of the Moab Folk Festival, 501(c)(3), in the amount of your regular ticket purchase or in any amount that is feasible here. We will miss you in person this year, but we will gather together again. Songs will be sung, and more memories will be made in our beautiful canyon country. Thank you for being a part of it all.
Take care of yourselves,
Melissa, Cassie and the Board of Directors
